Education

Arthur Mazirow received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the UCLA School of Business, specializing in real estate, and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.



Professional Background

Programs sponsored by the extension divisions of UCLA and the UC system, the State Bar of California, Bar Associations and various real estate groups. He has given hundreds of lectures on real estate topics to lawyers and real estate professionals. He has also published more than 100 articles dealing with the legal aspects of real estate transactions. From 1972 to 1990, he was a principal author of the lease and purchase forms published by the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIREA). He is also a member of Counselors of Real Estate, a national association and the 2008 Chair of its Dispute Resolution Program.



Awards / Achievements

In 2008 he was given the “Spirit of CEB” award by the Continuing Education of the Bar and the University of California “for his generous contribution to CEB and his service to the profession.” He was also the 2010 Outstanding Real Estate Lawyer Award Recipient by the Los Angeles County Bar Association Real Property Section and was a consultant to the CEB on its book entitled “Ground Lease Practice,” Second Edition.

Employment

He acts only as an arbitrator, mediator, expert witness, and as a consultant to law firms representing clients in real estate disputes. His arbitration and mediation activities are through the American Arbitration Association, as well as independently. He has also been designated as a trial referee under the Reference Procedure of the California Code of Civil Procedure.
