Mediator
Over the past 3 years Mr. Liebman has presided over numerous mediations, arbitrations
and mandatory settlement conferences (where he worked in tandem with the judge in
charge of the particular matter). Mr. Liebman is accepting mediation, arbitration,
and settlement conferences in matters related to subsidence and landslides, inverse
and direct condemnation and construction defects.
Mr. Liebman has tried in excess of fifty cases to completion and recovered numerous
multimillion judgments and settlements on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Liebman has represented entire tracts of single family homes in construction
defect litigation; he has represented Kaufman & Broad (now KB Homes) in complex
construction defect litigation and has represented numerous plaintiffs in inverse
condemnation cases. He has also handled construction defect cases involving condominiums,
apartment and office buildings.
While working as a law clerk during the day and attending law school in the evenings
Mr. Liebman was permitted to handle large and complex construction defect and subsidence
cases. After completing law school Mr. Liebman’s practice focused on subsidence
and landslide litigation, inverse and direct condemnation and construction defect
litigation cases.

Community Outreach
Mr. Liebman is a past member of the Hope School District Board of Trustees in Santa
Barbara and past president of the School Board.
He is also a member of the Hope Ranch HOA Mediation Panel which is utilized to resolve
disputes between the Hope Ranch Homeowners Association and its members over issues
such as CC&R violations, view easements and building code violations. The panel
also handles disputes between neighbors.
